Your doorstep trash pickup
Your community uses CWS Valet for doorstep trash collection. Here's when to set your bin out, what goes in it, and how to reach us if something goes wrong.
Bin out by 7:00 PM. Bring it back in by morning.
Your community may set different times. Your door hanger and your office have the schedule for your property.
Bin rules
Five rules that keep pickup on time
Bag it and tie it
All trash goes in tied bags inside the bin. Double-bag anything wet, heavy or from your pets.
Bin at the door
Set the bin right outside your door, not on stairs or in the walkway.
Fits in the bin
The lid should close. Extra bags next to the bin may be left behind and reported.
Boxes broken down
Flatten cardboard so it fits next to or in the bin.
Nothing dangerous
No paint, chemicals, batteries, needles or hot ashes.
Goes in the bin
- Bagged household trash
- Bagged pet waste and litter (double-bagged)
- Food waste in tied bags
- Flattened cardboard
Doesn't go in the bin
- Furniture, mattresses, appliances and TVs: ask about a bulk pickup
- Paint, chemicals, motor oil and batteries
- Needles and medical sharps
- Loose trash that isn't bagged

Report a missed pickup or a bin problem
This goes straight to CWS, not your leasing office. Report it the same night if you can, so the crew can come back while they're still on site.
We check that night's route log and photos for your door, then text you back. If we missed you, we fix it.

Resident questions
Common questions
Who do I pay for valet trash?
Your community handles the fee, usually on your rent bill. Questions about the charge go to your leasing office.
What if I miss the bin-out time?
Keep the bin inside and set it out on the next pickup night. If you set it out late, it may not get picked up.
What about holidays and storms?
Holiday changes are posted by your community office. If weather stops a route, we pick up on the next safe night.
I'm moving out and have furniture to get rid of.
Large items can't go at the door. Our hauling crew can pick them up. Request a quote.
Why did I get a tag on my door?
A tag means something kept us from picking up, such as loose trash, a bin that was too full, or an item we can't take. The tag says which one.
